“You’ve Come A Long Way Baby” I have had this 2” x 3” piece of fabric on my cutting table for at least 15 years because, frankly, I still feel that “we” have a long way to go. In the quilt world, we often say, “ It spoke to me.” So I picked it up and went from there. It’s definitely not a Japanese fabric, but I found some Japanese remnants to pair with it – including a piece of red/white cotton shibori. I hand-quilted the center, and added a tassel purchased in Japan. I am noticing now that I cannot seem to turn these tiny quilts and get “sharp” corners. And I can’t seem to sew a straight line!
