This design by Naomi Ito is one of the most beautiful and interesting fabrics I have seen in 30 years!! 100% linen has been printed to look like a water color wash on canvas. Here and there it has a bit of unreadable text and detail. Use it just as it is for clothing or interiors, or use as a base for an elegant surface design project with lace and beads!

Due to the unusually bold areas of color, some of which are more than 12" x 12", it is impossible to capture the essence of the whole design (which runs across the entire selvage and in a 24" repeat vertically) in one photo. Each image above shows a different section of the print, which is the same for each colorway, but of course the colors will vary.

Please note: "CANVAS" is this Japanese manufacturer's term, but this fabric is not stiff, as we tend to think of canvas. It has a slightly heavier thread than DOBBY, and it has a lovely soft finish with an even weave.

The "SATIN CREPE" fabric has a sateen finish with a crinkled texture. The crinkle will disappear when washed, but the sateen finish lasts -- and it's so beautiful, you won't miss the crinkle!! It's true!
