At the other end of the spectrum from the Japanese love of soft, subtle neutrals, here is a refreshing collection with true and clear colors. It was impossible to capture the true vibrancy of these colorways, and as always your unique computer setup will show colors that differ somewhat from the actual prints.

These Yasuko Saito designs are printed on very high-quality goods. The fabric has a beautiful drape and the finish has a soft sheen which will stay after washing. Hand quilting or machine embellishment will be fine, but Susan does not recommend it for sashiko or heavy embroidery.

The colors in this fascinating collection change across the 44" crosswise grain. The colorways are bright and exciting, rich and deep -- without being garish. In 2 of the 3 prints and in her first-year collection (available at the bottom of this page) the size of the graphic pattern also changes at the midpoint of the fabric, width-wise.
