16 w. X 18" ht. American commercial cottons; 1993. Machine pieced and quilted by hand with metallic threads. This piece is part of a group exhibit called "Full Deck Art Quilts", now traveling with the Smithsonian Institute around the U.S., due home January 2001! There are 54 pieces in all (each piece is the same shape and same size) representing an entire deck of playing cards and showing a cross section of Contemporary American quilt artists. This quilt has been sold. |
