16 1/2" w. x 20 1/4" ht. Japanese commercial cotton, hand-dyed and commercial American cottons, 1997. Machine pieced and quilted by hand. Loose threads on purpose. Inspired by the brightly colored bingata print, I tried to "pull" every color into the rest of the piece to see if it would hold togther. (Photo by James Dee) |
